Is Audiobook Studio available now?

Yes. Audiobook Studio is the paid plan for writers who want to prepare and produce narrated chapter audio. Voice casting, previews, the render queue, and expiring playback/download links are all live.

Are final audiobook renders included in the $100/month plan?

Your Audiobook Studio subscription includes 25,000 finished characters each month and full access to the audiobook workflow. Additional final rendering uses prepaid character credits — Ottopen shows the estimated cost before each render, and you can purchase credit packs in-app.

What happens if a render fails?

Failed renders are not billed. You can adjust the chapter, voice, or settings and retry without paying again.

Can I download my audio?

Yes. Completed chapter audio is available through private expiring playback and download links.

Can I format my book for Amazon KDP?

Yes. On Studio and above, the publishing toolkit exports a reflowable ebook (EPUB and DOCX) and a print interior for paperback or hardcover as both a print-ready PDF and an editable DOCX — with KDP trim size, mirrored gutter margins, front matter, and chapter breaks handled for you.

Can Ottopen help me query literary agents?

Yes. The toolkit runs an AI manuscript review for consistency, pacing, and submission readiness, and generates an editable query letter, synopsis, and sample pages you can download together as one submission package. These features are included with Studio and above and use your AI credits.

Does Ottopen train AI models on my manuscript?

No. Ottopen does not sell your work or use your manuscript to train its own models. When you choose AI or audio features, selected text is sent to the relevant provider only to fulfill that request.

Can I use Ottopen for free?

Yes. Draft is free and includes up to 3 active manuscripts, chapter and scene organization, character and note tracking, and manual drafting/editing.

What counts as an active manuscript?

An active manuscript is a project kept in your writing workspace and not deleted or archived. Draft accounts are capped at 3 active manuscripts.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. Paid subscriptions are managed through account billing settings. Cancellation timing and renewal details are shown before you confirm changes.

What happens to my manuscripts if I cancel?

Your manuscripts remain in your account. Paid features lock when the subscription ends, and the free active-manuscript limit may apply.

Can publishers or teams use Ottopen?

Yes, through the Publisher plan. Team workflow, onboarding, production support, security review, and volume pricing are handled as custom workflows.
